Course Objectives: This course aims to enable students to translate from English to Turkish effectively and accurately. Among the goals of this course are to introduce basic concepts and approaches pertaining to translation; to make error analysis and critically think about the authenticity of English-to-Turkish translations; and evaluate vocabulary or syntactic choices and format. Additionally, this course encompasses the importance and cultural aspects of translation in language teaching and learning.

Course Content

This course covers necessary concepts and approaches in English-Turkish translation; vocabulary, grammar, and strategies; and cultural and other topics that might be important in English-Turkish translation.
