Course Objectives: The course will focus on contemporary research in different branches of psychology (e.g. cognitive, social, developmental, psychopathology. Course will require students to read research papers, with the aim of describing and evaluating them from theoretical and applied perspectives covered on previous courses.Students taking the course will be assumed to have completed introductory level courses in each of the areas of psychology covered in this course

Discuss contemporary issues from a number of different branches in psychology. Use critical thinking skills to evaluate contemporary psychological issues and to relate these issues to previously acquired knowledge. Present information and arguments clearly in both written and spoken medium
