Course Objectives: The main objective of this course is to analyze the dispute resolution systems for international commercial disputes, to analyze the international jurisdiction of Turkish courts, to determine the conditions of prorogation of jurisdiction of Turkish and foreign courts, to give vision on the international arbitration law and to analyze the enforcement of arbitral awards.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
I. Recognizes the dispute resolution systems for international commercial disputes.
II. Recognizes the conditions of prorogation of jurisdiction of Turkish and foreign courts.
III. Analyzes the relation between the freedom of will, the applicable law and the dispute resolutions.
IV. Defines the concept of "International Arbitraion" and recognizes the general principles of international arbitration.
V. Recognizes the conditions of the recognition and enforcement of foreign court judgments and foreign arbitral awards.
