Course Objectives: | This course’s aim is that students have general informations about the concept of intellectual and artistic works, that they acquire basic information about the three principal concepts of the intellectual property law which are “work”, “author” and “rights on the work” and that they have an idea of this branch new developping in our country. |

1. Week: Introduction, The purpose of the law of intellectual and artistic works, its relationship with other branches of law, the concept of intellectual property rights. 2. Week: Basic concepts of intellectual property law, the concept of work, the conditions to consider an intellectual product “work” 3. Week: Condition of “speciality”, types of work listed in the Law. 4. Week: Concepts of author and holder of a right 5. Week: Rights on the work, incorporeal rights 6. Week: Rights on the work, material rights 7. Week: Limitation of the rights on the work, legal compliance reasons 8. Week: Contracts and dispositions about the rights on the work, contracts for the conveyance of the rights on work 9. Week: Licence contracts about the rights on the work 10. Week: Special conditions of the contracts and dispositions about the rights on the work, reasons for termination of the contract 11. Week: Lawsuits arising from violation of the rights on the work, proceedings on the inhibition of the violation, compensation and gain restitution. 12. Week: Author of the rights related rights, the performer, radio - television companies, music producers, film makers. 13. Week: professional associations and law in terms of intellectual and artistic works with professional associations related problems. 14. Week: the new developments on Literary and artistic works law, proposals for amendments, that this branch of the issues discussed. |
