Course Objectives: The aim of this course is help students to gain a perspective about historical development of counseling and guidance in Turkey and in the world, role and duties of counselors, specialties in the practice of counseling, concepts about individual counseling, group counseling, multiculturalism, career counseling, human assessment, ethics in counseling and future orientations of counseling profession.
