Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to gain ability of planning of assessment, physiotherapy and rehabilitation program for rheumatological disease.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Define rheumatic diseases
2 Explain dysfunctions caused by rheumatic diseases
3. Plan disease-specific evaluation
4. Select the physical therapy modalities may be used in rheumatic diseases.
5. Determine disease specific exercises
6. Make the choice of appropriate assistive devices.

Course Content

This course contains risk factors and rheumatic diseases, rehabilitation at rheumatoid arthritis, rehabilitation at juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, rehabilitation at osteoarthritis, rehabilitation at ankylosing spondylitis, rehabilitation at systemic lupus erythematosus, rehabilitation in fibromyalgia, rehabilitation in myofascial pain syndrome, rehabilitation for lateral epicondylitis, rehabilitation for medial epicondylitis, rehabilitation of Behcet's disease, rehabilitation of scleroderma rehabilitation of inflamatory myopathies.

7) Rehabilitation in fibromyalgia and antidepressant
8) Midterm Exam
9) Rehabilitation in myofascial pain syndrome
10) Rehabilitation for lateral epicondylitis
11) Rehabilitation for medial epicondylitis
12) Rehabilitation of Behcet's disease
13) Rehabilitation of scleroderma
14) Rehabilitation of inflamatory myopathies
