Course Objectives: The overall aim of this course, the characteristics of chronic diseases, to gain knowledge and skills in the course and stages, the basic principle concepts for related chronic diseases in various organs in the elderly, with methods and techniques, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, care procedures, teach rehabilitation and prevention.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Chronic disease definition, features, information about the course and stages owner
2. The importance of the community of chronic diseases, epidemiology, prevention and control, the relationship between mortality and morbidity, disease screening, to be informed about the importance of screening tests
3 respiratory changes due to aging COPD, asthma, chronic bronchitis and learn the principles of care
4. Aging-dependent changes in the cardiovascular system of heart failure, coronary artery disease, hypertension, peripheral vascular disease, and learn the principles of care
5. Diabetes mellitus, other endocrine diseases, chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal system and learn the care ilkerini
6 to have knowledge about chronic kidney disease and care principles

The system s chronic pulmonary disease and asthma care, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and care 7. chronic kidney disease, chronic renal failure and maintenance 8. Aging skeletal changes due to osteoporosis and fractures in the elderly, connective tissue disease, rheumatoid arthritis 9. chronic fatigue syndrome, pain control in elderly 10. Due to old age digestive system changes 11. neurological system changes due to aging and care of stroke, Parkinson s and care, and care of epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and maintenance 12.
