Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide basic information that will guide the student in the care of the oncology patient.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. To be able to define the cancer development process and the risk factors that play a role in the development of this disease
2. To be able to define important interventions in the prevention of cancer
3. Should be able to explain the approaches used in the early diagnosis of cancer
4. To be able to explain the approaches used in the diagnosis of cancer and the necessary patient preparation
5. Should know the treatment process of cancer and be able to plan the care specific to the needs of the patient
6. Understand the importance of education of the patient and his family in the completion of a good treatment process.
7. To be able to define the roles and responsibilities of the oncology nurse in the cancer diagnosis and treatment process.

Course Content

Clinical oncology nursing covers the major theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
