Course Objectives: Purpose of this course is explaining the role of occupational therapy in rehabilitation team working, defining basic occupational assessment methods in performance areas, supplying basic information and examples according to suitable occupational approaches.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1.Defines the level of performance in occupational therapy.
2.Evaluates basic occupational performance fields.
3.Comprehends the basic principles of occupational therapy with different patients’ problems.
4.Explains the relationship between person’s overall well-being and performance statement.
5.Applies occupational therapy in basic level.

Course Content

This course covers the role of occupational therapy in team work, activities of daily living assessment and training, principles and practices of transfer activities, , hand, sensory, sensory integration assessment and principles of treatment of different problems in occupational therapy.
