Course Objectives: This course aims to know the basic concepts in surgery, to know and apply the care needs during the surgical process by preparing the patient, to know the care and possible complications at the end of the surgical process, to know the surgical processes specific to the systems and to maintain the care of these diseases.

Course Content

Historical development of surgery, its definition, the concepts that affect the surgical nursing, care in surgical procedures, operating theater’s characteristics and working conditions, care at the end of operation and prevention of complications, prevention of surgical site infections, surgical symptoms, cancer surgery, some special branch surgical applications.
