Course Objectives: The aim of this course; It is to gain knowledge, attitudes and skills about ethical principles that must be followed in the care practices of healthy/sick individuals and families and in performing other professional roles.

Knowing the concepts of philosophy, morality and ethics

Knowing the concept of holism,

Understanding the importance of communication and understanding the importance of patient-nurse-patient communication

Knowing the contemporary roles, legal regulations and responsibilities of nursing

Knowing Nursing Practice Codes and ethical principles

Knowing the basic nursing values

Knowing and using Patient-Human Rights in practice

Knowing and using ethical behaviors related to specific situations (e.g. ethics in research)

Know the ethical decision making process

Course Content

This course covers the basic concepts of cell and cellular damage, inflammation and healing process, etiology and risk factors for diseases, neoplasms and pathology of genetic diseases, immune system pathology, pathology of nervous system, muscle abnormalities, bone, joint and soft tissue pathologies, pathological changes in metabolic diseases and blood and bodily fluid related changes.
