Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to combine the anatomical structures and physiological functioning of the central and peripheral nervous system with physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Define the structure ,classifications and functions neuron
2.Summarize the organization of the nervous system.
3.Anatomical and physiological structure of spinal column
4. Explain the diseases of spinal column.
5. Classify the periferal nervous system.
6. Describe fields of periferal nerves
7.Explain basal ganglia and the problems of basal ganglia
8.Evaluate the blood flow and cerebrospinal fluid.
9.Identifies cognitve maps
10.Explain cognitive diseases

Course Content

This course contains nerve tissue, central and peripheral nervous system, autonomic nervous system, spinal cord, plexus, spinal nerves, the medulla oblongata, pons, midbrain, the cerebellum, diencephalon, the basal ganglia, extrapyramidal system, motor control, cortex, Brodmann areas, networks, brain blood flow, cerebrospinal fluid and neuroplasticity.
