Course Objectives: | The aim of the course is to gain knowledge and skills of definition of the physical and electrical therapeutic modalities; application of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, selection of the appropriate treatment for the problem, decission of using treatment modalities. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; 1. Combine electrotherapy with other physiotherapy approaches. 2. Explain the treatment protocols. 3. Prepare the electrotherapy modalities for treatment. 4. Give examples about electrotherapy technologies. 5. Select evidence based approaches in electrotherapy. |
This course contains; history of electrotherapy and direct currents, iontophoresis, galvanic current in physiotherapy , modified direct currents, electrodiagnostic testing, faradic currents, low-frequency currents, transcutaneous electrical stimulation, diadynamic currents, interferential current, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, functional electrical stimulation, Russian current, applications methods. |
