Course Objectives: Bu ders kapsamında ortaçağ Islam dünyasında su kaynaklarının peyzaj tasarımında kullanılması, bahçe tasarımları, peyzaj algısı gibi olgular, Islam dönemi yazılı ve görsel kültür verileri ışığında, mimarlık tarihi, arkeolojik araştırmaları yardımıyla incelenir. Bahçelerin farklı İslamı kontekslerde ortaya çıkışı ve bu planlamar esnasında peyzaj ve suyun kullanımı özellikle Suriye ve Ispanya Emeviler dönemi, Islamiyet'e atfedilen cennet algısı ve bunun bahçe tasarımında kullanımı, cami tasarımında bahçe ve suyun kullanımı gibi konular ayrıca incelenecektir.
