Course Objectives: | This course aims at developing a general knowledge over the way of thinking in design culture and flourishing critical debates on form paradigms. It intends to understand the history of design/form in relation to subject object dichotomy and discuss the theoretical background of knowledge and design through the main lines of scientific and artistic developments that are the milestones in the transformation of form. The course studies the interrelationships between history and theory. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; A student completing this course 1.Develops a holistic perception in apprehension of design as a culture 2.Be able to interpret and participate contemporary debates on transformation of knowledge and form production. 3.Discuss main lines of scientific and artistic developments in relation to design 4.Improve academic writing and thinking skills |
