The land use transport interrelations; The process of transportation planning and its objectives; Appraisal of transport projects: economic, environmental and social considerations; Data Collection and Processing; Data types for transportation planning and travel demand models; Data collections methods; Travel Demand Modeling; The four step approach, Trip generations models, Trip distribution models, Mode choice models, Traffic assignment models, The activity-based approach, Transportation Planning and Project Appraisal, The cost-benefit approach, The multi-criteria approach, Sustainable transportation planning.
