Course Objectives: Practicing the methodology followed in the preparation of a conservation project of a historical7 traditional environment. Analyses of features creating them, their values, problems and potentials. Documentation, evaluation and decision phases of a district to be preserved. Discussion on financial, legal, administrative aspects of conservation to maintain the sustainability of these environments.

1. Documentation of the conservation problems in historical/traditional districts
2. Documentation of the architectural and natural values of a given historical/traditional district
3. Understanding the characteristics of traditional residential architecture
4.Searching for answers for the question" Conservation for whom?"
5.Understanding the problems and potentials at environmental scale
6.Practising collaboration with different fields in the studio project
7. Evaluation and use of the accumulation of knowledge given in the other courses throughout the program
