Course Content

Project covers a study conducted on an area of the student's interest in Actuarial Science. Usually the project deals with a practical case study in insurance business.

Weekly Detailed Course Contents

1) General research on the topic of interest.
2) General research on the topic of interest cont'd.
3) Defining a specific problem on the topic.
4) Defining the problem and specifying solution procedures.
5) Reviewing the proposed solution methods and analyzing the appropriateness of the solutions for the specified problem.
6) Organisation of the material in written format as well as an oral presentation of the proposal.
7) Collection and organisation of data on the problem.
8) Collection and evaluation of data on the specified problem cont'd.
9) Application of the proposed solution methodologies.
10) Application of the solution methodologies cont'd. Starting to write introductory chapters.
11) Analyses cont'd, interpretation of results. Writing of chapters cont'd.
12) Discussion of derived results and correction and/or completion of incomplete analyeses.
13) Continuing general analyses and writing of the project.
14) Competion of the project and preparation of presentation material.
