Course Objectives: To introduce learners to several Content Management Systems that will be used to develop an in-depth understanding of the general processes used to set up CMS sites and the applications and platforms which can be used to create dynamically updated content systems.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Understanding the role of content management technologies to acquire, organize and present web content.
2) Understanding and exploring methods, tools and applications for content management.
3)Understanding the knowledge cycle: acquisition, storing, application and maintenance.
4) Understanding key terms about semantic web, knowledge management and content management technologies.

Course Content

The course provides students with the basics related to content management and knowledge management on the web, and guides students in creating a personal web development project in an area of interest for students covering mostly the design and content authoring but also installation and maintenance aspects.
