Course Objectives: | To do PLC programming with ladder diagram and function blocks. To gain knowledge and skills in practicing pneumatic, hydraulic and motor control applications. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; 1. explains basic technology of PLC. 2. Does PLC input-output connection. 3. uses PLC interface program. 4. writes PLC program using ladder diagram. 5. writes PLC program using other methods (FBD, STL). 6. uses and programming the Touch panel. 7. controls with PLC by setting up circuit. 8. uses PLC on hydraulic and pneumatic systems and to make motor control with PLC. |
In this course, the following subjects will be taught; Fundamentals of Control Systems, control circuit elements, contactors, auxiliary relays, timer relays, protection relays and general standarts about control circuits, Programmable Logic Controllers; task structure, CPU, I/O interface, Memory Structure, PLC Operating Systems, running user program, Programming Languages; commands and programming with ladder diagrams, Basic command structures, timers, arithmetic and logic functions, PLC-PE and PLC circuit connections, communication protocols and interfaces, methods about logic circuit design, program control commands, Master control processes and commands, how to select a PLC and industrial implementation of PLCs. |
