Course Objectives: | The purpose of this course is examination of the types of personal gurantee such as the contract of surety, the collateral guarantee, the guarantee contract and the letter of guarantee taking into consideration new dispositions of Turkish Code of Obligations and examination of the subjects which are important for practice in the light of doctrine and jurisprudency. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; I. The students define the notion of guarantee. II. The students determine the main characteristics of the contract of surety and differentiate from the similar contracts. III. The students can explain the new dispositions of Turkish Code of Obligations in law of guarantee at the end of the course. IV. The students analyze the elements of the guarantee contract and its legal characteristic. V. The students determine how to use the letter of guarantee in practice. VI. The students explain the participation in debt for guarantee |
