| Course Objectives: | In the extent of this course, student will acquire knowledge about the basic concepts of intellectual property law,acquire the basic informations related with "work", "work owner" and "rights on the work", have an idea about developments in this branch of law. |

The students who have succeeded in this course; I. Students describe the principles concepts of intellectual property law II. Students explain types of work. III. Students determine the extent of rights on the work. IV. Students define contracts related with rights on the work. V. Students use effectively the informations about cases which arise from violation of rights on the work. |
| 1st Week: Intorduction, objectives of intellectual property law, relations with other branches of law, concept of intellectual property 2nd Week: Basic concepts of intellectual property law, concept of work, conditions to recognize a intellectual creation as work. 3rd Week: Condition of specialty, types of work mentioned in the Code. 4th Week: Concepts of work owner and right owner 5th Week: Rights on the work, intangible rights 6th Week: Rights on the work, tangible rights 7th Week: Limitations of the rights on the work, reasons for compliance with the law 8th Week: Contracts and acts of disposition related with rights on the work, contracts for the transfer of rights on the work 9th Week: license agreements related with rights on the work 10th Week: Special situations about contracts and acts of disposition related with rights on the work 11th Week: cases arising from violations of rights on the work, cases for prevention against violation, stopping of violation, compensation and refund of income. 12th Week: rights in connection with the rights of the author, performer, performers, radio - television companies, music producers, film-makers. 13th Week: Professional associations and their problems related with intellectual property law, new developments in intellectual property law, amendment proposals,issues discussed in this branch of law. 14th Week: Final Exams |
