Course Objectives: | The main objective of this course is to comprehend the field of human cognitive process in different psychopathology. It is aimed to inform the students topics including attention, memory, executive functions, language, problem solving, and metacognition in different psychopathology such as depression, anxiety disorders, and schizophrenia within the scope of this course. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; 1. Students will gain knowledge about the information processing aspect of psychopathology. 2. Studens will acquire skills and knowledge about how clinical applications are studied from an experimental perspective. 3. Students will understand how neuropsychological, brain imaging and behavioral cognitive psychology paradigms investigates with different pathologies. 4. Students will learn why information processing is important in psychopathology. |
This course includes basic elements of information processing and different operational approaches in depression, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, dissociative disorder, eating disorder, psychotic disorder, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum, alcohol and substance dependency, and alzheimer. |
