Course Objectives: This course will explore the contemporary American Television show from the perspective of Film and Cultural Studies. The course will also focus on the narrative significance of the shows as well as the participation of the fans as co-writers.

Learning Outputs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Will be able to look at certain television shows with mass appeal through the methodologies like film theory, television studies and psychoanalisis.
2. Will be able to 'read' and analyse those popular Television Shows as 'texts'.
3. Learn the fundamental concepts and theories of Film and Cultural Studies discipline.
