ÖSYS ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS

2013-2014 BAHÇEŞEHİR UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

1- ÖSYS Scholarships:

The entrance scholarships for students who will be registered to university undergraduate programs in 2013-2014 academic year are as follow:

Full Scholarship: : Exemption from all of the tuition fees defined for each academic year

%50 Scholarship: Exemption from half of the tuition fees defined for each academic year

RAISING SCHOLARSHIP AND ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Students who are awarded with ÖSYM scholarship in 2013-2014 academic year and will study with full scholarship are benefitted from the additional scholarships which are provided by Bahçeşehir University. This mentioned scholarship is an additional scholarship and Bahçeşehir University has the right to determine the earning conditions, the amount and number of the scholarship, the rules of how to earn and lose the scholarship. It is not earned right for the students whom the scholarship is given to, whatsoever.

Food and book scholarship and the opportunity to study preparotry year in Washington DC or Toronto or monthly 1000 TL cash support is provided to students who are placed in the first 100 in ÖSYS and related LYS score type.
for the ones who are placed in 101-1000 in ÖSYS and in the related LYS score type, food and book scholarship and the opportunity to study preparotry year in Washington DC or Toronto or monthly 600 TL cash support is provided.
for the ones who are placed in 1001-2000 in ÖSYS and in the related LYS score type, food and book scholarship and the opportunity to study preparotry year in Washington DC or Toronto or monthly 400 TL cash support is provided.

* For Food Scholarship, 160 TL monthly food supply is provided.

** Education scholarship in BAU abroad campuses covers accommodation, education fees and transportation but food and other expenses are excluded

*** Cash scholarship and food support is provided between October- June, for 9 nine months in a year.
****. Book Scholarship covers 250 TL voucher that will be given the beginning of fall and spring semesters.

2- International Diploma (IB, Abitur, SAT, MATURA, MATURİTA, French Baccalaureate etc) (*)

»» The exemptions from tuition fees will raise to 25% for the students who are placed from non-scholarship quota,
»» The exemptions from tuition fees will raise to 75% for the students who are placed from 50% scholarship quota
»» For the students who are placed from full scholarship quota, an education scholarship in BAU abroad campuses will be provided in addition to full exemption from the tuition fee.

(*) For the ones having International Diplomas (IB, Abitur, etc)

• IB diploma grade: 32 and higher
• ABITUR diploma grade 2.3 or better
• MATURA diploma grade 2.0 or better
• MATURİTA diploma grade 80 or better
• French Baccalaureate diploma grade at least 14 (the diploma grade at least 70 which is given by high schools in Turkey and equivalent to French Diploma )

SAT grade; With the condition that it should be taken on the same year, score of 1800 or above from 4 tests.

ENTRANCE SCHOLARSSHIP DURATION AND CONTINUATION

The scholarships are provided to students who start from the English preparory program for 6 semester with at most 2 years in the English program and for the students who start directly from the undergraduate program for 6 academic year if the students will not get discipline punishment and will follow the courses. Scholarships cover fall and spring semesters.
If a student gives a break by not renewing his/her registration without taking the approval of the university, exceeds the scholarship period or can’t successfully complete the English Preparatory Program after second academic year, the scholarship will end.
Other scholarships will arrange according to the rules defined in the regulations.

INTERNAL TRANSFER, EXTERNAL TRANSFER EXAM AND DOUBLE MAJOR OR MINOR DEGREE SCHOLARSHIPS

1. From this upcoming academic Bahçeşehir University, double major or minor degree programs will be free for all students regardless of their scholarship conditions.

2. The scholarships of our students will continue when they do internal transfer within Bahçeşehir University.

Master’s and PhD Scholarships

Master’s and PhD scholarships are given in conditions stated below:

High Honours Scholarship: From the students who are graduated from the undergraduate programs as first 3(first, second and third rank) of their departments will receive the scholarships as follows:

100% to top students of the department
75 % to second top students of the departments
50% of the third top students of the department

ALES Scholarship: The candidates who obtained 85 or above from ALES exam will earn 20% scholarship.
Graduation Success Scholarship: Students whose graduation grade are at least 3.00 out of 4.00 or 80 out of 100 will earn 20% unconditional scholarship.
Foreign Language Scholarship : 10% unconditional scholarship is given to master’s or PhD students who obtained the scores at least one of the English Language Exams stated below:

Bahçeşehir University Graduate Scholarship : For students who are graduated from Bahçeşehir University undergraduate programs and members of Bahçeşehir University Associations, 25% scholarship is given with the condition that they have to be a member of the association.
Public Employees Scholarship : . 50% scholarship is given to graduate students who work in public institutions.

Apart from public institutions, scholarship can be given to employees of the same company or institutions. The amount of the scholarship is determined by the Board of Trustees.
