Course Objectives: This course provides an introduction to fundamental concepts of Management Information Systems in the modern business environment. In order to increase the students’ awareness on realworld problems, case studies are used for in class discussions. These real-world problems introduce the role of information systems in business, the advantages of information technologies, and development and management of information systems.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
At the end of the course, you will be able to:
-Have an understanding of the components of information systems;
-Define Information Systems as a strategic tool;
-Learn how to manage Information Systems;
-Be able to design simple Information System;
-Learn how to create value via Information Systems.

Course Content

The teaching methods of the course are Case Study, Project,Technology-Enhanced Learning, Lecture, Reading, Discussion, Individual Study.
With this course, students will meet the following business administration department programme outcomes with high standards.
-Having problem solving skills and developing necessary analytical attitude
-Increasing efficiency rate in business environment
-Expressing opinions that are built through critical thinking process in business and academic environment
