Course Objectives: | The course aims to experiment in the disciplines of design through a wide range of areas that cover visual communication, product design, interior architecture and architecture. Collaborative approaches of the course embraces the increasingly interdisciplinary activities of creative thinking in various application areas of design disciplines. Students are expected to apply specific strategies to develop design outcomes within the intersection of different design approaches. This course allows the students to create and develop design outcomes within their own area of interest and further enhance specific skills and knowledge in co-design strategy of interdisciplinary topics. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; -working on a design project which integrates students from different disciplines -recognize and define the intersections and limits of different design-based disciplines, -experience thinking, discussing and designing in different scales -experience group work, |
-working on a design project with a context on the intersection of outer shell, interior space and industrial product -discussions on design and design concepts concerning the requirements related to function, esthetics, and context. -deciding on the design concept and spatial organizations by working with skecthes, working drawings and models. -producing working drawings and detail drawings of structure, space, artifacts and materials. -working on the relationships between design tools such as color, lighting on structure, material, artifact and space. |
