Course Objectives: This course strives to acquaint students with finishes and fixtures in interior architecture. Studio activities aim to support the student’s ability to design working details, to understand and implement building codes and safety regulations.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Demontrates ability to design working details according to anthropometric constraints,
2. Demonstrates adequate understanding of finishing materials typically used in interiors
3. Is able to identify and select pertinent hardware and fixtures used in interiors.
4. Represents his/her designed work in verbal, written and visual presentations (drawings, 3D modeling, posters, photography, etc.).

Course Content

The course focuses on materials and elements, furniture, textiles, lighting, color, art and accessories, kitchens and bathrooms, and human factors.
