Course Content

domestic interior typologies - design approaches according to the relation between city and dwelling, public and private life in Ancient Time around the Mediterranean region, Greek and Roman period, Medieval times, Renaissance and Baroque periods, Victorian time, Industrialization period, early modern - modern, (post)modern and late modern Times and in the 21. century

2) Public and private urban life, cities, relation between city and dwelling, domestic interior typology and design approaches in Greek Ancient period: Millet, Ephesos, Pergamon, Delos, Olbia and Sardinen study of ancient Greek period
3) Public and private life in Roman times: relation between urban and dwelling, domestic interior typology and design approaches: houses of Roman Vetti and Sallust study of Roman times
4) Public and private life, relation of city and dwelling, domestic interior typology in medieval times: houses of Roman Pansa and Guilio study of late Roman period
5) history of urban public and private life, relation between city and dwelling, domestic interior design typologies in the renaissance period: A rich man house in Urbina, A christian house in Haleppo study of renaissance design and daily public and private urban life culture
6) history of urban public and private life, relation between city and dwelling, domestic interior design typologies in the baroque period: house of Roman Hadrian study of baroque design and daily public and private urban life culture

10) An urban accommodation concept in the beginning of 20. century: Gardencity urban and social housing design project and domestic interior typology: Welwyn Housing Project, Onkel Tom's Hütte, Siemensstadt, Hufeisensiedlung Social Housing Projects study of gardencity concept as social housing
11) Dwelling as a machine: Rietveld House Dwelling as an avangard - modern / contemporary design culture and object: Pavillion of Barcelona as an unique space study of modern design culture and housing projects in the 20. century
12) Public and private life, relations between city and dwelling, domestic interior typology in the postmodern culture study of postmodernist culture
13) Innovative / intellegent house design: accommodation culture in the 21. century study of contemporary construction material and technologies in house production
