Course Objectives: |
This course is designed to explore and understand what sociology is as a field of study. In this course social, political, and economic phenomena is explained in terms of social structures, social forces, and group relations. This course is an introduction to sociology as a way of understanding the world. In this course first the introduction to the field will be given by focusing on several important sociological topics, including socialization, culture, the social construction of knowledge, inequality, race and ethnic relations, poverty, and political sociology. |
