Course Objectives: | This course concentrates on the organization of visual information. Students explore the basics of how to control what people see when they look at a design work. Understanding how to apply design concepts to the presentation of informative or persuasive material is crucial to communicating with an audience. Typography, image, space, color, and form integrates to apply the language of visual design. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; 1) Visualize concepts. 2) Recognize basic graphic design principles and apply them to their work. 3) Gain understanding and ability to apply the language of visual design. 4) Use composition, components, and concepts in graphic design. 5) Produce graphic design materials and visuals to apply in their projects. 6) Exhibit critical thinking skills in the formation of graphic design. 7) Identify target market and its function in relationship to design. 8) Display ability to profile audiences for succesful presentation techniques. 9) Meet industry expectations and requirements. |
