Course Objectives: The main objective of the Course is to introduce basic terms and concepts about what law is and the purpose it should serve. Within this framework, the Course will deal with a specific important concepts, such as society and order; the concepts of law,justice and sanction; the sources of law and the hierarchy of the sources; comparison between civilian and common law systems, main branches of public and private law.

III. Recognize the difference between moral rules and legal principles
IV. Understand several meanings of the word “Law”
V. Define the importance of justice
