Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to give information about disaster and disaster types, earthquake information, technological and hydro-meteorological disasters and disaster management.

1) Have basic theoretical and applied knowledge about disaster information.
2) Uses the information learned in the Disaster Science course theoretically and practically.
3) Express himself effectively by using information and communication technologies related to Disaster Information and establishing verbal and written communication.
4) Evaluates and directs the basic knowledge and skills acquired in the Disaster Information course with a critical approach.

Course Content

Disaster and disaster types, earthquake, avalanche, mass movements, technological and hydro-meteorological disasters, disaster management, responsibility of disaster managers and disaster psychology.
