Course Objectives: The course aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of advanced research techniques and methods. This course equips students in the fields of social sciences and business with the ability to deeply understand, apply, and critically evaluate both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Students will gain proficiency in research design, data collection and analysis techniques, interpretation of results, and writing research reports.

Course Content

The course content includes topics including developing research questions and hypotheses, while explaining different types of research (experimental, descriptive, exploratory, etc.) and the appropriate contexts for their use. Students learn how to conduct literature reviews and critically evaluate sources.

In the qualitative research methods section, topics such as interview and focus group techniques, content analysis, and thematic analysis are covered. Quantitative research methods include topics like survey and scale development, and data collection techniques. The statistical analysis methods course covers descriptive and inferential statistics, as well as advanced analysis techniques like regression analysis, ANOVA, and MANOVA.

Mixed research methods discuss how qualitative and quantitative methods can be integrated, along with their advantages and disadvantages. The course emphasizes ethical principles in research, data protection, and privacy, ensuring that students adhere to ethical standards throughout their research processes. Finally, students gain competence in writing research reports and effectively presenting their findings.

This course content provides students with comprehensive knowledge of advanced research methods, equipping them with the necessary skills to plan, conduct, and report research projects.
