Course Objectives: To provide students with nutritional information on basic subjects such as the content of foods, appropriate preparation and cooking methods, losses during preparation and cooking.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, students;
Will be able to evaluate foods in terms of energy, carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamin and mineral contents.
Will be able to distinguish food preparation, cooking and storage methods that will prevent vitamin and mineral loss.
Will be able to compare food processing-storage methods.
Can question about additives and label reading.Nutrients, energy, carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamin and mineral contents, food processing and storage methods, nutritional losses constitute the content of this course.
