| Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to provide students with information about the integration theories, historical development, institutions and main policies of the European Union. |

The students who have succeeded in this course; 1) Explains EU theories and European integration processes. 2) Summarizes its historical development and establishment process, taking into account the international conjuncture during the Cold War period. 3) Analyzes Türkiye-EU relations and the membership process. 4) Explains the global role of the EU within the framework of the constantly changing Common Foreign and Security Policies. 5) Synthesizes the effects of institutions and member states in decision-making processes. 6) Evaluates the dynamics and future policies of the EU. |
| This course focuses on the history of the EU, the integration process and integration theories. EU Institutions and the functioning of these Institutions are also within the scope of the course. In addition, the historical development of Turkey-EU relations and Turkey's current situation in the membership process are also discussed. |
