Course Objectives: In this course, basic theory, technology and techniques in cinematography will be covered along with hands-on course works. At the end of the semester, every student is expected to realize a short animatic video and to demonstrate their skills of digital storytelling with using the digital camera and lighting setups.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
· Develop digital storytelling abilities with sense-making visual elements.
· Develop technical abilities to use digital cinematographic tools.
· Optimize conditions to realize ideas with limited sources.
· Analyze moving images in aesthetical, social, communicational, and historical aspects.
· Identify lenses, camera angels, lighting sources, and their usage in various techniques.
· Gain aesthetic, functional and technical experiences for animation cinematography.
