Anatomical structure of all living beings will be analyzed in comparison with the examples to illustrate how the projection of anatomy is critical in developing convincing characters in animation. An understanding of the behavior of the muscular system will also provide a foundation for the performance design of animated characters and how they react to the forces acting upon them.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Will be able to apply the anatomical knowledge to the design of characters for animation.
2. Will be able to dissect the anatomical structure of a given design.
