Course Objectives: | The main objective of this course is to design a project from a given brief, consisting of at least 3 different pieces, covering print, time-based, and interactive visual communication design areas. A jury is held every three weeks to give critics and grades. Several workshops are also organized to support the projects technically and conceptually. This is the first course of two which students should pass in order to graduate. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; I. Identify the design problem and the target audience of a given brief by research and analysis. II. Identify the global trends and local differences in the product selection of the visual communication campaign III. Identify the technology and the media choice suitable for the concept IV. Develop concept based on the needs of the campaign V. Present the campaign with a suitable method of communication and format. VI. Demonstrate skills to construct social, artistic or advertising contextual visual communication campaign based on a given brief VII. Use the technology and the media suitable for the concept VIII. Develop innovative solutions for design problems IX. Use the design experience and knowledge in theory and practice on a visual communication campaign regarding the market X. Demonstrate time management skills to fulfill the market needs XI. Design a campaign to enhance the intellectual and technological expectations of the market XII. Design a creative and genuine communication design campaign through personal experience |
This capstone course guides students through the research, concept development, and execution of a comprehensive visual communication campaign based on a given brief. The project must integrate design components across print, time-based, and interactive media. Students will explore visual identity and branding strategies, develop product sketches through an iterative design process, and refine final deliverables. Regular critiques and professional presentation sessions will provide structured feedback, ensuring a thorough and market-ready execution. Teaching Methods: Individual Study, Project, Discussion, Problem Solving, Implementation |
