Course Objectives: Recognizing the applications of community service, developing a point of view about existing problems of the issues, offering solutions about these issues, gaining awareness about voluntery activities and importance of these.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
Students; 1. Understand the importance of the application of community service. 2. Have an idea about the scope of the application of community service. 3. Become conscious about the social issues 4. Take part in voluntery activities and offer solutions about social issues. 5. Develop a point of view on how to use the acquired knowledge.

Course Content

1. Researching into the civil society organizations in the contex of applications of community service.
2. Determining the appropriate civil society organizations which would be useful to society
3. Obtaining information about the applications through interviewing with the determined civil society organization
4. Making a working plan in accordance with the obtained information
5. Discussing about the working plan with the instructor
6. Performing application in acordance with the working plan in cooperation with the civil society organization
7. Reporting practices, preparation of necessary documents, writing an assessment report in the interest of society
