| Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to understand the psychological development processes of adulthood, evaluate individual and relational challenges, identify major psychological difficulties faced by adults, and develop intervention strategies within the framework of family counseling. |

The students who have succeeded in this course; Describes developmental characteristics of adulthood. Differentiates between early, middle, and late adulthood. Analyzes identity, intimacy, generativity, and self-esteem concepts. Identifies psychological disorders in adulthood. Explains stress and coping mechanisms. Evaluates relational issues such as marriage, family, and parenting. Analyzes the relationship between career and life satisfaction. Describes sexuality and emotional intimacy in adulthood. Analyzes the psychological effects of life events like divorce, grief, and illness. Applies psychoeducational and counseling techniques. Recognizes ethical and professional boundaries in adult counseling. Evaluates the impact of individual differences on adult psychology. |
