Recommended Optional Program Components:	To support student learning within the scope of the course, simulation-based applications, case discussions, examination of current trauma management guidelines, participation in scientific seminars and conferences, and optional certificate training in trauma and disaster management are recommended.
Course Objectives:	The aim is to enable students to systematically intervene in trauma cases with a multidisciplinary approach; to learn the emergency care principles specific to trauma types, and to gain safe and effective application skills.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Classifies types of trauma and explains the basic pathophysiological processes specific to each.
2. Applies priority assessment and emergency intervention steps in head, spine, chest, abdomen, and pelvis injuries.
3. Safely performs interventions such as external bleeding control, wound care, splinting, and extremity immobilization.
4. Administers pre-hospital emergency medications according to protocol.
5. Ensures scene and patient safety and observes ethical principles in the trauma management process.
6. Actively participates in teamwork and communication in trauma management.
7. Observes ethical responsibilities and patient rights. 8. Develops the ability to make quick decisions and prioritize during crises.

Course Content

The course covers fundamental principles of trauma management; emergency care practices for head, chest, abdominal, pelvic, spinal, and extremity injuries; case-based scenario studies; and ethical responsibilities.

13)	CPR, Heimlich maneuver, and transport techniques will be covered in the Nursing Lab. One of these three topics will be asked in the practical exam. General practical work will be done in the lab before the practical exam.
