Course Objectives: To learn operating room environment, surgical interventions, preparation of
patient and environment for surgical operation, infection control practices.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
At the end of this course student,
1.Defines the equipment which must be available in operating room.
2.Summarizes preparation of operating room to surgical operations.
3.Explains the feature of surgical sets, special materials and special sets.
4.Classifies and exemplifies the surgical instruments.
5.Learns to assist for preparation of surgical table.
6.Explains the preparation procedure of patient to surgical operation.
7.In accordance with surgical operation, explains the importance of the patient's
position.
