| Course Objectives: | The aim of this block is to describe the development, structure and physiology of the hematopoietic and immun system, pathogenesis of the disorders related to system and basic therapeutic approaches applied for the treatment. General principles of oncology and cancer biology will be described |

The students who have succeeded in this course; At the end of this committee students will be able to 1. Identify the structure and function of the hematopoietic system and define the pathologic processes in hematological disorders 2. Describe sign and symptoms of the hematopoietic system disorders 3. Identify the risk groups, risk factors related to hematological disorders and preventive measures 4. Gain knowledge about microorganisms affect the hematopoietic system function and describe their pathogenesis in this process 5. Describe etiology, pathophysiology, principles of diagnosis and management of malignancies in adults and children. 6. Gain knowledge about pediatric tumors and pediatric hematology 7. Gain knowledge about principles of oncology and cancer biology 8. Gain knowledge about the approach to diagnosis, basic therapeutic approaches and principles of treatment in oncology and hematological disorders |
| Pathogenesis of hematopoietic system disorders, principles of cancer biology; clinical and radiological diagnosis; prevention and therapeutic approaches of this system disorders will be introduced. |
