Course Objectives: To convey Constitutional developments from Ottoman Empire to nowadays and make students comprehend the deep details of the current constitution and the constitutional system.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
I. Explains the Constitutional movements of Ottoman Empire.
II. Analyze the preparation and the content of 1924 Constitution
III. Differentiates basic philosophies of 1961 and 1982 Constitutions.
IV. Analyze the fundamental rights and freedom devising of 1982 Constitution.
V. Clarifies legislation, executive and judiciary formations, duties and authorities of 1982 Constitution.
VI. Interprets the importance of Constitutional Court in constitutional systems.

The Charter of alliance of 1808; The Rescript of Gülhane of 1836; The royal edict of reforme of 1856;

The constitutions of 1876, 1921, 1924, 1961 and 1982 with theirs amendments.
