Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course, students will gain familiarity with contemporary theater and its associated texts, thereby achieving a significant acquisition within the art of acting. The outcomes of this course will be reinforced within the curriculum structure that commences with Naturalistic-Realistic acting methodology.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
In the course 'Play and Acting Studies,' contemporary texts emerging after the 20th-century avant-garde movements will be examined, and their theatrical equivalents will be explored from both theoretical and practical perspectives.

Upon completion of this course, students will:

1-Comprehend avant-garde movements;
2-Grasp the theory and texts of Epic-Dialectic theater;
3-Understand the theory and texts of Absurd theater;
4-Learn the theory and texts of Post-dramatic theater.
