Course Objectives: | The aim of the course is to teach the participants Turkish Sign Language (TİD) at a beginner level. The structure of TİD, which has a different grammatical structure than Turkish, is to be examined. The course is taught in Turkish and/or Turkish Sign Language. The lessons will be given in two languages (vocal and/or TİD silent signs). It is aimed to inform the students about the cultural structure of the hearing impaired and to provide them with the skills to communicate with the hearing impaired in daily life by transferring and practicing the TİD alphabet, basic words and grammar structure, and to increase their awareness about the importance and support of disabled culture and volunteer-based work. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; At the end of the B lesson, they will learn; 1. They will be able to understand the history, development and deaf-hearing impaired culture of TİD. 2. They will be able to gain the ability to communicate by learning the TİD finger alphabet. 3. They will be able to learn basic TİD grammar concepts, structure, sentence breaking, asking questions, and answering. 4. They will be able to learn to express words and actions, verbs with TİD. 5. They will be able to gain hand and body coordination by learning the use of facial expressions and gestures that are vital for the hearing impaired. 6. They will be able to learn the basic words, patterns, and sentences used in daily life with TİD and gain the ability to communicate. 7. They will be able to give basic information about themselves, their environment, and other people using TİD, and ask questions. 8. They will be able to reinforce the use of fluent and understandable hands, facial expressions, and gestures by practicing mutual speaking. 9. They will be able to gain information about disabled individuals, types of disabilities, and correct communication. |
In our course, teaching methods and techniques will be used such as lecture, group work, case study, individual study, guest expert invitation, social activity, and technology-supported learning methods. |
