| Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to teach counseling approaches, preventive interventions, and health-promoting practices in the protection and promotion of family health. Theories, models, and strategies that support the physical, psychological, and social well-being of families are discussed within the scope of this course. |

The students who have succeeded in this course; Defines the concept of family health. Explains the physical, psychological, and social factors that affect family health. Identifies basic theories and models related to health promotion. Describes counseling approaches to promote family health. Identifies and evaluates risk factors in families. Applies preventive and protective intervention strategies. Develops healthy communication methods among family members. Identifies coping strategies for stress and crises within the family. Promotes healthy lifestyle behaviors. Applies methods for monitoring and evaluating family health. Plans community awareness programs for family health. Explains the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in family counseling. Develops counseling skills in line with ethical principles. Discusses the role of the family counselor in addressing current health issues. |
