Course Objectives: The goal of this course is to provide an overview of the role of play in early childhood education. The early childhood candidates will learn to facilitate play and incorporate into early childhood curriculum.
Upon completion of this course, the early childhood teacher candidates will be able to:
• demonstrate an understanding of the importance of play
• summarize theories of play.
• use play as a medium to facilitate development.
