Course Objectives: | The aim of the "Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in Pediatric Diseases" graduate course is to provide in-depth knowledge about pediatric diseases and their rehabilitation processes. This course aims to increase students' skills in evaluating neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary and skeletal system disorders seen in children and developing effective treatment strategies. It also aims to develop students' competencies in creating individualized treatment plans using evidence-based approaches in pediatric rehabilitation processes. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to: 1. Identify and evaluate common neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary and skeletal disorders in children. 2. Determine and apply appropriate physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches in pediatric diseases. 3. Develop pediatric rehabilitation plans using evidence-based approaches and evaluate their results. 4. Conduct multidisciplinary teamwork for pediatric patient groups. 5. Develop clinical problem-solving and decision-making skills in pediatric diseases. |
This course directly contributes to the development of students' professional competence in the field of pediatric physiotherapy and rehabilitation. It provides detailed information on the assessment and treatment methods used in pediatric diseases, and provides students with the opportunity to specialize in this field. The learning outcomes of the course, in line with the general objectives of the program, aim to increase students' planning and implementation skills in physiotherapy approaches to pediatric diseases based on scientific foundations. In addition, the adoption of multidisciplinary work, evidence-based practices and patient-centered treatment approaches in pediatric patients ensures that students are well-equipped for their professional lives. There is a strong relationship between the program outcomes and the learning outcomes of this course, and students will be able to take an active role in health services by gaining high competence both academically and clinically. |
